for College Students in Recovery
Together we can do what we can’t do apart. From this simple notion The Haven at College was born. Haven Sober Living Residences are student-led, clinically supervised houses and apartments where peers in recovery help each other navigate midterms and life’s terms. In our Haven Communities, we focus on keeping it real, keeping each other safe, and getting the most out of our college experience, without drugs and alcohol.
The Haven Recovery Residence in Collaboration with USC ***TEMPORARILY CLOSED***
The Haven at USC is located in the University Gateway—a modern, mixed-use student apartment complex with 24-hour security, restaurants and entertainment. Amenities include an on-site parking garage, a full gym, 24-hour concierge service, individual and group study rooms and a state-of-the-art computer lounge. Haven residents live in furnished apartments with same-sex roommates, supporting each other’s recovery while forming lifelong friendships.

The Haven Recovery Residence in Collaboration with Drexel University ***TEMPORARILY CLOSED***
Comfortable and convenient, The Haven at College Recovery Residence, in collaboration with Drexel University, is located in the heart of University City in a large historic residence two blocks from campus. With a safe and all-inclusive communal space, an enormous backyard and a full service kitchen, The Haven has become the center of collegiate recovery in Philadelphia for students from Drexel and neighboring universities. Through weekly recovery meetings, individualized wellness sessions, group accountability, social & recreational events, the Haven’s student led community fosters long term recovery while forming lasting friendships.

Since moving into The Haven, I have far exceeded what I believe my potential could be by achieving a 4.0 GPA my first quarter and joining the Army ROTC program----when just a short half of a year ago I was addicted to heroin and thought that my life was hopeless. I know this is just the beginning of my recovery and academic journey and I am so excited to see what I will be able to do next. The Haven Recovery Residence in Collaboration with University of San Francisco ***TEMPORARILY CLOSED***
The Haven at College Recovery Residence, in collaboration with the University of San Francisco, is located in a charming two-story town house on the northside of USF’s Lone Mountain Campus. The Haven House Manager and Community Leader is in recovery and a USF alum who has tremendous knowledge of the school and San Francisco area. The Haven is located within walking distance of one of San Francisco’s greatest treasures, Golden Gate Park, with miles of green lawns, lakes, flowers and varied attractions from top museums to exquisite gardens and extraordinary events. Shopping is close on Laurel Village and Sacramento Streets and there is a Starbucks and Target a short walk from the house.

The Haven at Santa Barbara is located in a beautiful private residence in Isla Vista, Just a few steps from the Pacific ocean and a short walk or bike ride from the UCSB campus. Haven residents live in furnished bedrooms with same-sex roommates, helping each other navigate midterms and life’s terms. The house is stocked with surfboards, kayaks and bicycles for Haven residents to enjoy in their spare time.

The Haven Recovery Residence in Collaboration with The University of Redlands ***TEMPORARILY CLOSED***
Comfortable and convenient, The Haven at Redlands is housed across the street from campus on the corner of University Street and College Avenue. This newly renovated, historic Craftsman-style home offers residents a large living room and expansive backyard, both perfect for social events. Haven residents share furnished bedrooms with same-sex roommates, helping each other navigate sobriety while enjoying the company of their peers.

Had he continued on the trajectory he was heading he certainly would have failed out of school, but equally likely he could have had another blackout that could have cost him everything. In addition, the staff at The Haven saved our sanity. They reassured us when we needed handholding, motivated us when we wanted to give up, and encouraged us when things felt hopeless. The Haven at Miami University Residence is located at the beautiful Miami Preserve, convenient to campus, retail, restaurants, and the brand-new modern library. It is also located on the county bus route serving all of Oxford and the Miami University. Students live in private suites in shared brand-new, fully furnished student apartments. Onsite amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, Clubhouse with pool table, computer center (with free printing) and a large grassy area with outdoor fireplace.

The Haven Recovery Residence in Collaboration with University of Maryland, College Park ***TEMPORARILY CLOSED***
The Haven at UMD Residence is located at Terrapin Row, nestled near the University of Maryland South Campus Commons and is home to over 1,000 University of Maryland students. Students live in beautifully appointed, fully furnished Townhomes with private rooms. Onsite amenities include a top of the line fitness center with free weights, cardio equipment and machines, study rooms with high speed internet and printers, swimming pool, volleyball court, game lounges and an automated convenience store.

The Haven Recovery Residence in Collaboration with Tufts University
Comfortable and convenient, The Haven Recovery Residence in Collaboration with Tufts is located in a University owned residence close to campus and other Tufts Special Interest House. Haven residents share furnished bedrooms with roommates, helping each other navigate sobriety while enjoying the company of their peers. There is a large backyard where recovery meetings, substance free social events and recreation activities take place.

The Haven Recovery Residence at UMBC is located in the beautiful Montrose Manor Apartments minutes from campus in Catonsville. Students live in well appointed, fully furnished apartments with shared rooms. Onsite amenities include a swimming pool, nearby walking and biking trails and high speed internet. Comfortable and convenient to campus, the Haven’s student led community fosters long term recovery while forming lasting friendships.
